This album certainly lives up to its name; it is cold, bloody, and merciless. Filled with towering riffs and blast beats that rattle the dead in their coffins, this fire-and-brimstone take on death/black metal will leave the listener enthralled.

very thrilling "blackened death metal", in this case it means dark melodies, crushing blastbeats, atmospheric riffs, tons of heaviness, a little bit of crust influence, and a superb mix (drumsound is awesome).

Mikolaj is a real multi-talent in bass as well as guitar as well as vocals and "Darkside" Maciej's drumming is a well-calibrated 100th-of-seconds-clockwork. Not for nothing is Mgla considered as a standard for a lot of other blacker-than-black metal bands. I hope to see this band live once.....

The album description mentions an “emotional apex.” That’s really the difference between Stare and the band’s previous albums. Ulcerate was always supremely technically proficient. I just didn’t care all that much. Their growth has come from making music you will feel.

I dig this album so much, definitely a keeper. Subtly and masterfully mixing death metal subgenres, backed with an over the top production. They're true professionals. Can't wait for their next release!
